- A recent governmental study concluded that for the past 126 years, of the approximately 19,000 tornado fatalities that occurred in the United States, the area known as the Mid-South accounted for nearly one-third of all tornado deaths, which is four times the national average. In light of this study, Kingsway Green is a part of a growing consensus of communities providing storm shelters.
